After the emergency brain scan, he was rushed into the theatre where two drains channels were put in his head to remove blood clots. Tubes were passed through his neck to enable him stay alive as he could not breath and his teeth were clenched. He was literary dead to the world.

A schoolboy has fallen to his death after trying to take an 'extreme selfie' on a ninth-floor rooftop with his friend.

The 17-year-old student apparently climbed to the top of a building in Vologda, Russia, with a companion one evening last week with the intention of creating a photo of himself dangling off the towering structure. Armed with rope and his phone, he approached the edge of the rooftop in the fading light and lowered himself over it.
But seconds later, the rope gave way and he plummeted nine floors, according to local media reports..Although several bushes below the rooftop cushioned the boy's fall, he suffered extensive and severe injuries.He was rushed to a hospital in eastern Russia's Vologda Oblast region, where he died around two hours later.

244 Nigerians Missing As Hajj Death Toll Hits 64

The Nigerian death toll at the Hajj stampede has hit 64.This was revealed by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) which said in Makkah that 10 more bodies were identified, raising the toll from 54 to 64.
The commission’s Public Affairs Director, Uba Mana, said 244 pilgrims were missing.The figure of the injured also jumped to 71 from 61 previously announced.

A huge great white shark jumped out of the water and ate a high school teacher alive as he fished with friends. Sam Kellett, 28, was spear fishing with friends off the Yorke Peninsula coastline in south Australia when he was fatally attacked .Mr Kellett's friends said they did not see the attack but saw a huge pool of red blood where Sam had been.

Nigeria’s Economy Could Slip Into Recession- CBN

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria on Tuesday warned that the country’s economy could slip into recession by next year if proactive steps were not taken by the Federal Government to revive key sectors of the economy.

It also reduced the Cash Reserves Requirements for Banks from 31 per cent to 25 per cent as well as retained the Monetary Policy Rate at 13 per cent.

The committee also retained the symmetric corridor of 200 basis points around the MPR; and left the Liquidity Ratio unchanged at 30 per cent.Addressing journalists shortly after the two-day meeting of the committee held at the CBN headquarters in Abuja, the CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, noted that the economy had remained fragile owing to various factors.

Five suspected members of a human trafficking ring, paraded by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, have confessed to taking two Nigerian girls to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, to become commercial sex workers.They also admitted that they recorded the girls’ nude videos while they were taking oaths.

It was learnt that the suspects Blessing Gabriel, 25; Precious Ejiro-Owoh, 29; Rose Gabriel, 25; Priscilla Bassey, 33; and 38-year-old Terry Smooth were apprehended by the agency on September 8, 2015, while one of their victims, identified only as Ann, had been rescued.

Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani has come under criticism following his trip to London to watch the last Saturday’s Premier League game between Chelsea and Arsenal.Many residents of the state have described the governor’s visit to Stamford Bridge as 'frivolous' considering the many financial problems currently bedeviling the state.

Traffic Gridlock To Ease Off Within 48 Hours

 At Last huh!!!The National President of the Association of Maritime Truck Owners, Remi Ogungbemi says the traffic gridlock currently being experienced in Lagos will ease off within the next 48 hours. Speaking with NAN, Odugbemi said

“Since the Lagos State Government relaxed the restriction of trucks to start moving in the day, accessing the ports had been difficult, due to trucks trapped by the law. Trucks in the port have to go out for incoming ones, the Nigeria Customs Service have to clear the ones in the ports, hence the backlogs that locked down Lagos. I hope it will get better within 48 hours as stakeholders are working tirelessly to ensure free flow of traffic and we are sorry for the inconveniences,” he said.

12-yr-Old Girl Commits Suicide In Lagos

What a tragedy!!! A 12-year-old girl,has shocked residents in Mushin,Lagos after she allegedly committed suicide.

The young girl identified as Mulikat Hassan, Sunday Sun gath­ered, was found dead around 6pm, dangling from the ceiling of her parents’ one-room apartment located at 102, Mushin Road, Ikate, Lagos. Mr and Mrs Hassan came back from work on the fateful day to behold the heart-breaking sight.

One of the neighbours told Sunday Sun on the condition of anonymity, that the act may have been instigated by remote spiritual invocation.

“I have never seen anything like it before. Yes, I have heard of adults committing suicide but never have I seen or heard of a 12-year old girl taking her own life. I think it is as a result of some sort of spiritual manipulation.”

Expressing pain over the death of Mulikat, another neighbour de­scribed the deceased as a very decent and responsible girl.

Lasma To Issue Road Defaulters Ticket

Quite commendable, new development at least we will not see lastma running after vehicles and sometimes causing serious accident,but how will they do the validity of someone's address?

Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, has adopted a new system of booking traffic offenders rather than impounding their vehicles.

The new system which kicked off last Friday Sept. 18th, LASTMA will now be issuing tickets to defaulters and allowing them to go with their vehicles but the defaulters will be asked to pay a penalty for the offense within a stipulated time which will be stated on the ticket issued. Failure to pay up will amount to arrest of such defaulter at their homes.see after the cut the list of traffic offenses and their penalties as posted on LASTMA's official website...
