Ebola: First Case Diagnosed In US,Thomas Eric Passes Away

The First Person to be diagnosed with Ebola in United State, a Liberian man by name Thomas Eric Duncan has passed away. He died today in Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital In Dallas where he has hospitalized. See Below Official statement from the Hospital:

“It is with profound sadness and heartfelt disappointment that we must inform you of the death of Thomas Eric Duncan this morning at 7:51 a.m.

Mr. Duncan succumbed to an insidious disease, Ebola. He fought courageously in this battle. Our professionals, the doctors and nurses in the unit, as well as the entire Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas community, are also grieving his passing. We have offered the family our support and condolences at this difficult time.”

As this deadly Ebola Virus is no respecter of person or country, it has found its way to Spain after a Spanish nurse contracted the virus,she had recently treated two Ebola patients in the country

Fifty individuals are currently under surveillance in Spain Government authorities are monitoring them for possible signs of Ebola, as they are suspected to have had contact with the nurse, New York Times reports.

WHO To Officially Announce Nigeria Ebola Free

Yipee Nigerians can finally breath deep sigh of relieve on the deadly Ebola crises that hit this country since July 2014,as the World Health Organization (WHO) is hoping to announce later on this week that Nigeria and Senegal are free of Ebola after 42 days with no infections.

According to a statement signed by the Director of Information in the Ministry of Health, Mrs. Ayotunde Adesugba, WHO will soon make the official declaration after Nigeria successfully curbed the virus which was imported into the country by Liberia-American, Patrick Sawyer, in July as the 42 days is the standard period for declaring an outbreak over, twice the maximum 21-day incubation period of the virus.

How US Ebola Patient,Thomas Eric Duncan Caught The Deadly Virus

The deadly Viral disease called Ebola is no respecter of person or country, Little wonder it found its way to Texas in USA by a Liberian national named Thomas Eric Ducan. The 42-year-old Liberian citizen, Thomas Duncan had gone to the United States to visit family and friends. 

The New York Times reported Thursday that Duncan had direct contact with a pregnant woman stricken with Ebola in Liberia on September 15, four days before he left for the United States. Citing the woman's parents and Duncan's neighbors in Monrovia, Liberia, the newspaper said Duncan had helped carry the ailing woman home after a hospital turned her away because there wasn't enough space in its Ebola treatment ward.
