Boko Haram: Gombe State Shuts Down All Private & Public Schools

 

Due to the recent rise in  terrorist attack in Gombe,The State Government has ordered the closure of all public and private schools in the State.

 

A secondary school principal who confirmed the development told NAN she received a circular Tuesday evening that all schools should be shut for security reasons.

Some parents who also spoke to NAN about the development said they commend the state government for the action, because it was necessary to safeguard students.

Boko Haram Mubi Town Madinatul Islam

Contrary to the claim by the Nigerian military that it is on top of the security challenge in the commercial town of Mubi in Adamawa state, the dreaded Boko Haram sect is consolidating its position in the the captured town and has indeed renamed it “Madinatul Islam” meaning the city of Islam.

According to Premium Times one of the residents, who could not leave Mubi at the time of the invasion of the town by the insurgents, disclosed this in a telephone chat with journalists. He said the insurgents had taken complete control of the town

Yeepa, most of the Zambia Citizens are not finding it funny with their acting president Guy Scott backed down Tuesday after his attempt to sack the ruling party chief sparked riots and a rejection of his authority as a white leader in Africa.

Scott reversed his decision on Monday to sack Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Edgar Lungu just days after the death of president Michael Sata following fierce criticism and a meeting with cabinet ministers.

Lungu would remain in place at least until after Sata’s burial on November 11, and “the central committee of the PF will then be convened,” Scott said on state radio.

Crazy: Man Stabs Barman For Staring At His Girlfriend

The Aggressive nature of Kelvin has giving him more than he can chew right now as a barman, who works in a hotel located on Obokun Avenue, in the Ojodu area of Lagos, is battling with wounds he sustained.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the alleged attacker, Kelvin Friday, a resident of Ojodu-Abiodun, Ogun State, allegedly stabbed the barman, who he accused of staring at him and his girlfriend.

It was gathered that Friday and his girlfriend, whose name had yet to be ascertained, had gone to drink in the hotel around 6pm on October 21, when the incident happened.

The victim, Simeon Tenebe, claimed he was brooding on an issue he had discussed with his sister earlier in the day when the 25-year-old man confronted him. He added that Friday interpreted his stare for rebuke and challenged him to a scuffle.

That’s what you call memory lane. I was in Deeper Life for five years, between 1978 and December 1983. Brother Kumuyi was and is still a great teacher of the Word. The person that put the fear of God in me was Brother Kumuyi. He laid the foundation for systematic teaching that many people see me do today. However, I rose through the ranks. I preached while I was there and conducted youth meetings. I was doing some legal works for the ministry also. I registered some of their companies.
