INEC Releases Statement Concerning April 11th

The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that Card Readers would be used for Saturday’s governorship and house of assembly elections across the country. This was made known this morning by the Secretary to the commission, Augusta Ogakwu in a statement released this morning.

“The Independent National Electoral Commission wishes to inform all Nigerians that Card Readers will be used for the April 11, 2015 Elections.

President Jonathan- I am One Of The Luckiest Nigerian

President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday, April 5, looked back at his years of service from being the deputy governor of his home state, Bayelsa, to when he became the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The President said he had no doubt that he is the luckiest Nigerian.

He said,

 “For me as an individual, this Easter coincides with the time I am leaving but I always say that I am one of the luckiest Nigerians. I am yet to see somebody luckier than me.

Hello SPbers Family Its good to be back again, I truly apologize for the long break,I could not help this one but I am fully back. I am really proud of Nigeria after the just concluded election which made the citizen of this great country glued to their TV Set for 3 days with the hope for change let not lose our focus on the things that are important to us as a Nation!

  

This Election was full of so much drama and twist while a lot of people had so much to say on social media airing their views, Let's wait for the next 4yrs to decide if we made the right choice.We must not forget Its not just asking for change but we must earnestly see that it is properly implemented.

We hope that the new Government come May 29th 2015 will not let Nigerians down! God bless Nigeria

The son of actor Jackie Chan has been sentenced to six months in jail after pleaded guilty in a Beijing court to providing a venue for drug users.Police seized more than 100 grams of marijuana during an August raid at Jaycee Chan's Beijing home, while he and Taiwanese movie star Ko Kai both tested positive for the drug, it was reported.

The trial and sentence were especially sensitive for Jackie Chan, who was named an anti-drug ambassador in 2009, and sits on China's top national political advisory panel the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.The actor has told Xinhua that he did not use his connections to interfere with the case and that he hopes his singer-actor son will eventually become an anti-drug ambassador.

AirAsia To Pay $US100,000 As Compensation Each To Families Of QZ8501 Crash

Nothing can be a cushion after loosing a loved especially in such an horrible way as an air crash, but the families of the victims of AirAsia flight QZ8501 will be offered $US100,000 in compensation by the airline as those searching for the plane claim they are just hours away from finding the plane's black box.

It follows an offer of $US24,000 after family members were given a draft letter from AirAsia, which detailed its initial compensation deal,CNN reported.

Flight QZ8501 crashed over the Java Sea just 40 minutes after it left Surabaya Airport on December 28.
