Buhari, with the comments that flooded in, APC has officially released a statement allowing all media house to cover President activities.I guess it was well managed before it escalated any further. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that all accredited media organizations in the country, including the African Independent Television (AIT), are free to cover the activities of the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

15 year old Precious Nwaigwe, the little girl who was abducted in May 2014 and sold to pimps in Libya by her maternal uncle and was released last Friday, has narrated how she was made to work  to raise $6,000 for her release. According to Punch, precious said she was kidnapped in Ode Remo in Ogun state while searching for a bus that will take her to school when she ran into some cultists.

Lagos Govt. To Provid Free Wi-Fi To Resisdents

The Lagos state government  has revealed plans to provide Wi-fi to every resident of the state.According to Channels, the Permanent Secretary of the State’s ICT Ministry, Mrs Nike Animashaun said the first phase of the Wi-Fi connectivity would be deployed at parks located at different parts of the state.
She said the Wi-Fi would be deployed at parks in Oshodi, Alausa and Ajegunle.

“The Wi-Fi services will be in some of the parks in the state and when it is deployed, residents of Lagos State would be able to access Wi-Fi in some of the parks,” she said

Mrs Animashaun said that the state government came up with the idea to stimulate and encourage the interest of children in science and technology. She did not state if the Wi-Fi would be free.

Akwa-Ibom Govt Warns Residents About Kpomo

Akwa Ibom state government has warned residents of the state to desist from eating cow skin popularly known as kpomo as research has shown that the consumption of the cow skin has led to the increase in cancer and liver problems in the state.

At a press conference in Uyo yesterday April 26th, the state Commissioner for Agriculture & Natural Resources, Mr. Godwin Afangideh, represented by Director of Veterinary Services in the state, Dr. Obot Obot said the high quantity of salt used for the preservation of the cow skin has been traced to have adverse effect on the liver of the consumers and also increases the risk of having cancer

Ondo Deputy Governor Impeached

The Ondo State House of Assembly has impeached the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ali Olanusi.

The Monday plenary session was attended by 24 out of the 26 members of the House, including the Speaker, all in support of the impeachment.

The impeachment motion was moved by the Majority Leader, Henry Akinsoyinu, who revealed that the seven impeachable offences of gross misconduct and abuse of office levelled against the Deputy Governor have been proved.

Parents Of Abducted Chibok Girls Accuse School Vice-Principal Of Aiding Boko Haram

Parents of some of the abducted Chibok school girls are accusing the vice-principal of the school the girls attended, Government Girls Secondary School Chibok, of assisting Boko Haram in the abduction of the girls.

The aggrieved parents leveled the allegations while speaking with Sahara Reporters newsmen.
