Russians Sue Madona for Campaigning Support for Gay

Nine Russian activists are suing pop singer Madonna for about $10.5m, stating that they have been offended by her support for gay rights during a recent concert held in the Russian city St. Petersburg.

Madonna might not be aware that expressing Pro-gay opinions is sensitive in a place like Russia where a law was passed in February 2012 making it illegal to promote homosexuality to minors.

Russian news agencies report that Alexander Pochuyev, a lawyer representing the nine activists filed the lawsuit on Friday. ‘No one is burning anyone at the stake or carrying out an Inquisition’, Pochuyev says.

The complaint is said to include a video taken at the concert showing Madonna stomping on an Orthodox cross and asking fans to raise their hands to show the pink armbands in support of gays and lesbians that were distributed among the audience.

Prezo Apologizes to Nigeria

Eleven days after the Big Brother Stargame show ended, the drama is yet to end as former housemates continue to banter at each other.

The most recent is Prezo’s diss for ex-girlfriend, Goldie. He recently expressed concern at the amount of criticism his relationship with Goldie fetched him, blaming it on Goldie’s stubborn attitude which he says did not create a room for reconciliation.

According to him, Goldie’s failure to produce his ring was a spit in his face, as against his hope of a good outcome of their relationship, ‘I have no hard feelings for Goldie…its such a shame that things turned out the way they did’, he added.

He however apologised to Nigerians for their perception about him being irrational and responsible for Goldie’s eviction, ‘If Nigerians say I’m part of the reason she was evicted from the BBA house. I want to use this opportunity to apologise to Nigerians’

Prezzo with real names Jackson Makini, came second at the end of  BBA Stargame, on Saturday, August 5, 2012.

The Truth About Basket Mouths's Bar and The Robbery

A day after popular comedian Basketmouth officially opened his lounge about a month ago, some armed robbers tried to rob the place. But contrary to reports making the rounds that the robbers invaded and robbed customers of the Lounge, I can tell you for a fact that the report is false. According to people who were at the lounge when the incident occurred, the robbers never got inside because of the armed mobile policemen stationed outside the lounge, who opened fire at the robbers. At least one of the robbers got hit. They disappeared before they could be captured.

And yes, Basketmouth was inside the Lounge when the attempted robbery took place, and yes, people inside panicked when they heard the sound of gunshots outside the bar, but before anyone could really come out to check what was going on, it was all over. Everything happened on the street, not inside the lounge.

Basketmouth and his business partners have doubled security at the lounge since the incident occurred. emBARssy lounge is located at 12 University Rd, Akoka,

Naeto C Gets A Porsche Cayenne

Newlyweds Naeto C and wife Nicole were pleasantly surprised when they were presented with the keys to a brand new Porsche Cayenne during their wedding reception this evening.

The luxury car, favored by celebrities worldwide (including Nigeria’s Kanu Nwankwo and Mercy Johnson) was presented to the couple by D’banj, during his performance.

We reliably gathered that the mid-size crossover SUV, worth at least N12m, is a gift from Dumebi Kachikwu, a 38-year-old millionaire entrepreneur who was once married to Naeto C’s elder sister, Somachi.

Kachikwu, who is close friends with D’banj, Naeto and few other entertainers, is known to spoil his friends with gifts.

Although he has since remarried, insiders say he remains a friend of the Chikwe’s. He was present at the wedding today.

Lady Gaga Goes Naked for Perfume

This is what Lady Gaga would do to promote her perfume.
Lady Gaga took it all off for her Fame perfume ad — well, except for some strategically-placed little men a la Gulliver's Travels. The singer debuted the racy black-and-white image, shot by Steven Klein, on her LittleMonsters.com site on Monday and it leaves little to the imagination: Gaga is completely nude (except for a black mask) and holding a bottle of her new black-liquid fragrance as 17 miniature men cling to her body in all the necessary places. "i won't lie I'm a bit nervous," the 26-year-old tweeted just before revealing the provocative pose for Fame, which is being distributed by Coty and hits stores in the fall. "its been a while since i've shared some work with you."

Bomb Defused In Ikeja

Got quite a number of calls from people around the area this morning about a bomb that was discovered in a hotel in Ikeja. According to eyewitnesses, a bomb was found in a room at Reliance Hotel located on Emina Crescent off Amore Crescent, off Toyin street, Ikeja.

The hotel shares same fence with St Leo Catholic Church and is directly opposite Assemblies of God church. According to hotel sources, three guys slept in the hotel last night and checked out this morning. Housekeeper went to clean the room and discovered the 'surprise'. The hotel alerted the anti-bomb squad. The streets surrounding the area was condoned off for hours as the anti-bomb squad worked to defuse the bomb. When they did, they brought the bomb out with a pillow and left it on the streets for a few minutes, then left with it in their blue vehicle. A LIB reader took that photo and sent to me. Hopefully the police will say something about this incident.

Banky Confesses He Is Not Gay

Nigerian R&B singer, Banky W has reacted to rumours about his sexuality.

The singer mentioned this during an interview he granted to Y! Magazine, saying ‘It’s hilarious to me and completely false. I’m not. Maybe it’s because I’m not married, and I practice safe sex and thus have no children yet.’

Speaking on his political ambitions, the EME label boss confessed his desire to constantly throw his weight behind candidates he believes in, since he can’t run for office himself ‘…our constitution states that you have to have been born in Nigeria to qualify. I wasn’t, so I don’t qualify anyway. I figure my time will be better spent throwing as much support behind candidates that I feel should be the ones leading the country’, he said.

Banky W and his label mates recently released an all-star album titled ‘Empire Mates State of Mind’ and are currently on a U.S tour that will end on Sunday, September 2, 2012.

American Idol Judges are dropping Off

The "American Idol" judges are dropping like flies. Just hours after Jennifer Lopez said during a "Today" interview that "it's time for me to go," the Aerosmith frontman (and king of the wacky one-liners) shocked everyone when he announced he was quitting the Fox singing competition after two seasons to focus on his iconic rock band. "After some long ... hard ... thoughts … I've decided it's time for me to let go of my mistress 'American Idol' before she boils my rabbit," Tyler said in a statement, referring to the movie "Fatal Attraction" in which Glenn Close's character cooks her lover's daughter's pet. "I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I'm back — but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I got two fists in the air and I'm kicking the door open with my band."
