The
management of Bold Move Enterprises, publishers of Bold Step Motivational
Magazine, a magazine which its maiden edition was published on the 1st
of July, 2005, has
unveiled plan to host the maiden edition of BOLD STEP AWARD, initiative
designed to honor men and women who have impacted lives as well as contributed
to nation building in their own chosen field of Endeavour.
The
event comes up on Sunday 28th of October, 2012 at the Nigerian Air
Force Officers Mess, 1, Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. Time is
1pm.
The
head, organizing team of Bold Step Award and publisher of Bold Step Magazine,
Mr Nwabueze Kenneth says: “The idea of Bold Step Award was inspired by changes
happening everywhere in Nigeria. A lot of great things are happening now and as
we all know, it takes humans to make them happen. Formally, several things were
considered impossible in this country but this time around, some outstanding
Nigerians have changed that perception. Some of our leaders are now living up
to expectations by changing the face of their states, while some individuals
and companies on the other hand, are doing exceedingly well in their
contributions to nation building. The remarkable thing about this people is the
passion at which they carry out their services. Therefore, we deemed it
necessary to once in a while honour and encourage Nigerians who are taking
extra-ordinary step towards the transformation of our country Nigeria in our
own little way,”
Meanwhile, six categories have been identified
for nomination in this year’s award: Politics, Non-Governmental Organizations,
Media, Individuals, Companies & Entertainment. Six governors, four NGOs,
some individuals and companies have been nominated for the award.
