Doctors Begin Process To Remove Joan Rivers Out Of Coma

She brings the show to life, The 81-year-old was having surgery on her vocal cords at a clinic in NYC after she did an early shoot of fashion police when she suddenly stopped breathing during the procedure on Thursday 28th August 2014.

Update on her case says Doctors at Mount Sinai Hospital where comedian Joan Rivers is being treated have decided to start the process of bringing her out a medically induced coma, but fear she could be left with permanent brain damage or in a wheelchair. Her daughter Melissa said on Sunday the actress’s family are “keeping our fingers crossed,” as they slowly wake her up - a process which will take until Tuesday 2nd September 2014

'There is real concern that the part of the brain that controls motor skills may have been compromised leaving her as either a vegetable or in a wheelchair,' a source close to the family told the New York Daily News.
