Hollywood Actress Nicole Kidman's Father Dead in Hotel Room Fall

Nicole Kidman's dad, Dr. Antony Kidman, has died, reportedly after a hotel room fall in Singapore, the star's rep confirmed to the Daily Mail Australia.

Kidman's publicist and friend Wendy Day told the Daily Mail on Friday, Sept. 12, "The family is in shock and is grieving. I think that some time and privacy is needed to deal with this shock and tragedy."

The Oscar winner's father was reportedly in Singapore to visit his youngest daughter Antonia, a journalist.Dr. Kidman was a respected clinical psychologist at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia. He also was the Director of the Health Psychology Unit at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. In 2005, he received the Order of Australia for his work in clinical psychology.
