The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, administered the oath of office and allegiance on Senator Remi
Tinubu and 27 other (APC) senators who missed the oath taking during the
inauguration of the chamber on Tuesday.
The 28 senators, who are mainly members of
the Senate Unity Forum, led by Senator Ahmed Lawan, mobilised themselves to the
chamber as early as 8.30am on Wednesday, waiting for the Senate President to
formally swear them in as senators.see more pics after the cut
The senators, after the votes and proceedings of the previous
legislative day were adopted, took turn to take their oaths by reading it out aloud and appending
their signatures.
