Prince Harry Says He Regrets Not Addressing Princess Diana’s Death Sooner

The Prince of Wales, Prince Harry who was only 12 when his mom was killed in a car accident, has revealed to Footballer Rio Ferdinand he regrets going years without opening up about the death of his mother, Princess Diana.
Princess Diana died in 1997 after the car she was riding in crashed into a tunnel in Paris, killing the driver and her boyfriend at the time Dodi Al-Fayed.
"I really regret not ever talking about it," the 31-year-old told former soccer star Rio Ferdinand, via The BBC. "For the first 28 years of my life, I never talked about it."
"The key message here today is that everyone can suffer from mental health," Prince Harry told The BBC as he and his brother Prince Williams ensure their mother's memory lives on as they continue to advocate for important causes just as she did.
"Whether you're a member of the royal family, whether you're a soldier, whether you're a sport star," he continued. "It doesn't really matter. Everyone can suffer."
"It's OK to suffer, but as long as you talk about it. It's not weakness. Weakness is having a problem and not recognizing it and not solving that problem."
