TheHollywoodGossip- R. Kelly was discharged from a Chicago hospital after undergoing an emergency throat operation. The 44-year-old went to see a specialist last week. Soon enough, he wound up in the emergency room at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where doctors drained an abscess on one of his tonsils.
"He left the hospital and is recuperating at home in Chicago," his publicist said. "Still no word on when he'll be able to resume performing."
