Switching roles from actor to movie producer for some may well turn out to be a risky career move and could end up a disaster. But Nollywood actress and screen diva Ini Edo is reportedly enjoying the transition with the success of her new movie ‘I’ll Take My Chances’.
The actress, who initially premiered the movie on September 24, 2011 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, is set to bring the action to movie buffs when she premieres it in Lagos soon.
The Desmond Elliot directed movie was co-produced by Emem Isong and is, according to reps of the actress, ‘a real departure from the frequently seen story lines in the movie industry as the content, style and philosophy behind it distinguishes it from most of the scripts daily churned out by directors and producers alike.’
‘I’ll Take My Chances’ is a dance themed movie that is centred on love and the challenges faced in its pursuit by its two principal characters.
The movie features Brian Okwarra, Jide Kosoko, the late Sam Loco Efe and Ini Edo herself among others.
Ini Edo has over a hundred movies to her credit and was recently re-appointed aUnited Nations youth ambassador and a brand ambassador for Noble, an indigenous cosmetics company.
