Meet Vanessa

Trust me when I say her song is good, I am not joking... Vanessa was born in Lagos, Nigeria where she spent most of her childhood. Her music career started very early in life, she started out entertaining family and friends at holiday functions and singing in church. Where ever she found an audience, she performed. Throughout high school she performed at numerous social events. She joined the music band of Action health incorporated; a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of Nigerian adolescence.  

Vanessa relocated to Texas in the early 2000`s,  where she performed at local community venues  such as; Richland Community College and the University of Texas at Austin. 



In 2007, Vanessa moved to Albany, New York to further her education.  Though busy with a rigorous pharmacy school schedule, she still managed to fuel her heart’s desire of singing and entertaining. She performed at Albany Idol, two years in a row and moved on to be one of the artist’s nominated to perform 2 of her own original songs ; “Love’s not easy” and “Boy”, in Jamaica New York at an event organized by Crystal Stair Entertainment in 2010. Upon graduating as a Pharmacist, she moved to Las Vegas to further her passion of performing.

Vanessa is inspired by an eclectic array of musicians, from Vanessa Williams Adele, Rihanna, Christina Aguillera and James Blunt.  Her music style and sensibility has been described as a blend of RnB, Soul and Pop with an African twist.  She is currently in the studio recording new music and can`t wait to share it with her fans. She recently released her first single “When Hurt…” which is available on You tube to listen. Keep your radio stations tuned in for her next single
