With Nigeria's Loss to Argentina by a 3-2 and Bosnia win to Iran by 2-0 victory,Super Eagles became the First African Team to qualify for the Second round,Eagles coach Stephen Keshi reviews loss to Argentina saying that Nigeria gave Argentina too much respect.‘’I think that we gave Argentina too much respect in the first half. That is why we played deep not trying to concede goals. It is not in our character to play defensive game.

We are known for attacking football like Argentina. But that changed in the second half and we took control of the game and the possession.I think that the game was good with my players improving in all gamesStephen Keshi also poured encomiums on Argentine player Lionel Messi .Despite the loss, Nigeria finished second behind Argentina and moved into the second round to face France.Asked if his team played against Argentina or Messi, he laughed and said; ‘’Messi is a blessing to football. You can’t take it away from him. There are other talented players in the Argentine team but I think that Messi is from another planet. Messi is from Jupiter”, he said causing an uproar of laughter from the media.
