A 22-year-old man, Chigozie Ugwu, paraded by the Anambra State Police
Command for stealing as much as 52 women’s underwear has said he
indulges in the act to satisfy his s*xual urge.
Chigozie said he had no girlfriend and felt like he was having s*xual intercourse any time he picks a woman’s pant, even as he pleaded that the police should release him and let him go home.
The suspect claimed he was not aware that his action was an offence until security operatives arrested him. While peaking with the Southern City News, Chigozie said, “I didn’t know that it was an offence to take women’s pants. I don’t have any girlfriend. So, each time I am with any woman’s underwear, I feel like I am making love. “That’s why I go about picking and keeping women’s pants. I didn’t know it was an offence until the police arrested me. Please, tell them to release me. I didn’t intend to steal those things. I think, it’s a spiritual problem,” he said.
