Panettiere ,the Nashville
star who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 71st Golden Globe Award is pregnant with her and fiancé Wladimir Klitschko‘s first child together, multiple
sources confirm to E! News.The 24-year-old actress
has remained mum on her expectant status, but that seems to be her style—she
didn’t confirm that she was engaged to her boxing champ beau until
October, a few months after she was spotted wearing a huge diamond
ring. Panettiere finally let Kelly Ripa get the scoop, telling
the Live! With Kelly and Michael host that the ring “speaks for
itself” but that, yes, she was engaged.Since then, Panettiere has said that she
and Klitschko, 38, are in no rush to get to the altar, for various reasons.
“We are very laid-back about the wedding plans; we don’t want to rush
anything,” she said in British Cosmopolitan‘s March issue. “We want
the day to be fun, happy and stress-free. Growing up, the thought of not
getting married never crossed my mind. It was always: I’m going to get married
and then I’m going to have a family.”As for the continued political unrest in
her Klitschko’s native Ukraine,
where his brother Vitali is the leader of the Ukrainian
Democratic Alliance for Reform, Panettiere said at the time, “I spend a lot of
time in Ukraine
and I completely agree with what Wladimir and Vitali are fighting for; we
want justice and democracy for Ukrainians.”She and the heavyweight fighter
temporarily separated in 2011 after nearly two years of dating, but
reunited in spring 2013 and never looked back.It’s unclear what Panettiere’s
pregnancy means for ABC’s Nashville, which is scheduled to start
shooting its third season next month, or her character Juliette Barnes.
