Late Emir of Gwoza Son,Alhaji Muhammand Timta emerges as New Emir of Gwoza
The Emir of Gwoza that was recently killed two weeks ago by Boko Haram sect has now been replaced by his Son Alhaji Muhammad Timta,He takes over as the new Emir of Gwoza,The King Makers in Gwoza Emirate Council of
Borno, announced this on Wednesday,11th June 2014,the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.The new
emir was chosen after a meeting of the king makers in Gwoza. NAN
reports that the coronation was low keyed due to security challenge and
continuous attacks on Gwoza by the Boko Haram insurgents. However, the new emir
promised to unite and strengthen the relationship between Christians and
Muslims in the area.
