I must say it was a very interesting tennis game yesterday as the most controversial players who have met 42 times and have played the longest game of 5hours,53mins in 2012 Australian Open met again at the finals of 2014 French Open. Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic game is often described as the type of dramatic,
purposeful rivalry that enthralls in any type of sport. Last year, the
two met in an epic semifinal that saw Djokovic go up a break in the
final set only to lose, his goal of becoming French Open champion the
last major he’s yet to win squashed by the King of Clay.
Because Nadal has lost just once at Roland Garros in his career, and
because even though his back is supposedly not at 100% he’s still
managed to whip his way through the draw without much challenge. There
was the first set he lost against David Ferrer before losing just one
game in the final two sets. There was the semifinal he crushed against
Andy Murray, who’s one of the only players mentioned in the same
sentence as Nadal and Djokovic, But Rafeal Nadal got his game this time by winning 3-6,7-5,6-2,6-4 to beat Novak Djokovic,This is also his Ninth French open title, fifth in a row and he has 14 Grand Slam Titles to his name.
