Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun has vowed to rescue a former
Nigerian Minister, Iyabo Anisulowo who was abducted yesterday while she
was returning from her farm at Ilaro, Ogun State.
The Governor who was at the farm today alongside the commissioner of police and other security agents, said the perpetrators of the act will not go unpunished and Ogun will never be a comfort zone for criminals. He assured her family members and the people of the State that the former minister will return home safely and very soon. He said; “The government is already interfacing with security officials and I can assure you that everyone here is involved including the local farmers, hunters and vigilante service. We will rescue her alive and bring her back safely and I believe that in a matter of hours, we will have cause to thank God over this incident.”
Speaking further, the Governor said; “We are ready for the abductors and they will regret what they have done. Ogun State will never be a comfort zone for criminals.” Her family members have however said, they are yet to be contacted by her kidnappers despite it's been over 24 hours.
