A Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, over
the alleged abduction of 14-year-old Ese Oruru, has adjourned trial
until May 12, 2016 to determine ruling on secret trial for Ese.
The court said on Tuesday that the adjournment was to enable it to rule on the application of the prosecution counsel seeking private trial for Ese.
The Presiding Judge who adjourned the case, said the court would rule on the application on the next adjourned date.
The police prosecution counsel, Keneth Dike, who filed the application to the court, said the motion for the application was to take the evidence of the victim (Ese) in private.
