DJ Review- DJ Slam of Star FM

Ayeni Ismaila Alaba is not only a disc jockey but a young entrepreneur; He is in the mix of artist management, event planning, program production, artist production, studio recording, DJ services and DJ training. He is popularly called DJ Slam. He definitely slams the turn table, this is his forte.

DJ Slam, was born in Lagos, he is the child before the last child amongst eight children, precisely eight boys. Growing up with seven strong siblings was an interesting experience. “I am simple, straight forward, I love driving and listening to good music”, the DJ says. Mr Alaba, takes education seriously and of course doesn’t want to be left out, he is a student of marketing at the Lagos State University. He is doing Marketing and “DJing”, perhaps the reason for his entrepreneurial combo and success.

DJ Slam has been in the art of disc jockeying since he was in his secondary school. He mastered the art with the way of cassette playing and gradually variegated with the system into cd mixers and the more advanced computer and mixer technology. This makes him grounded to have come this far. He should be appreciated as a man who knows his onion.

DJ Slam works with star FM and has joined them for five years now; he started as a studio manager and DJ. He has grown over the years to becoming a senior manager and well known DJ in the Nigerian Entertainment circle. The young maestro, DJ Slam has a private studio to himself; he works there when he is not in Star FM.

His role model is Allah and his dream is to be one of the best DJs in the world, he calls himself the turn table wizard.
