Tha Carter IV was downloaded a staggering 300,000 times from iTunes in only three days while it took “watch the throne” a full week to reach those numbers.
Now we can say the numbers are out and Lil Wayne’s new album “Tha Carter IV” smashed the Throne off iTune first week sales for its short life. The Carter almost went platinum for the first week
According to Nielson Soundscan, “Tha Carter IV”. Sold 964,00 copies in the first week landing Weezy at #1 Billboard Charts.
Jay Z and Kanye West’s “Watch the Throne” slid down to #4 this week after selling 80k units, bringing their sales to 780k.
