As this deadly Ebola Virus is no respecter of person or country, it has found its way to Spain after a Spanish nurse contracted the virus, she had recently treated two Ebola patients in the country
Fifty individuals are currently under
surveillance in Spain Government authorities are monitoring them for
possible signs of Ebola, as they are suspected to have had contact with the
nurse, New York Times reports.
The Spanish government is said to be facing
criticism over the perceived lax manner in which they handled the Ebola case.
Reports state that it took almost one week for
the nurse to be tested for Ebola even after she contacted a medical center on
September 30th, complaining that she felt feverish.
Because Spain is a developed country, its
citizens reportedly have high expectations about the country’s capacity to
handle the disease.
