The activities for the burial rites of late Dora Akunyili kicked off yesterday Monday 25th August 2014 at the International Conference
Centre, Abuja with a night of tributes in honor of her. Guests in attendance were Onyeka Onwenu, Chris Ngige
and Oby
Ezekwesili among others.
The funeral for the former Minister of
Communication and ex-DG of NAFDAC will continue today Tuesday 26th August 2014 with
a Mass at the Pro-Cathedral Catholic Church, Garki, Abuja.
After the service, her body will be taken to her
family home in Enugu
for activities that will conclude on Wednesday 27th August 2014, After then her body will later be taken to her husband’s
house in Agulu, Anambra for another round or activities.She will be finally laid to rest on Thursday 28th August 2014.
