Project Smile Africa is a community based project reaching out to the
socio- economic needs of children in Africa between the ages of 0-19 through
education and empowerment we are a group of professional volunteers and we
implement project tailored to our research and expert analysis world wide.
We
officially launched last year, when we visited the police barracks in ikeja to
cater for over a thousand kids. we have now embarked on a five year campaign
called Talk2urteen to create awareness about the dangers of adolescent
pregnancy, and engage the girls in different communities and secondary schools
on appropriate sex education.
On the 3rd
of December 2014, our Talk2urteen campaign kicked off with over 400 secondary
school girls, as our team of professional volunteers engaged them in meaningful
conversation about sex , the danger of
adolescent pregnancy, also about their health and the importance of education.
Our main
objective throughout this campaign is to support and inspire the girl child,
encouraging her to prioritize her education and steer clear of adolescent
pregnancy, which is said to be the number one killer of teenage girls
worldwide, but more rampant in developing countries an experience that also
reduces substantially the chances of a bright future for the girl
We at
PROJECT SMILE AFRICA know that adolescent girls hold the key to a world free of
poverty.
We have a
team of professional volunteers across Africa who are blazing the trail in
their countries, and we are open to more volunteers interested in leading the
initiative in their countries.
Interested volunteers and donors can indicate their interest by sending a mail to psa@adesewajosh.com, talk2urteens@gmail .com or call+2348098011322, +2348026663785
